The biggest UI flaw for me is the scrolling mechanic on the bottom of the screen.
I’ve played against ships that are well upgraded, and I’ve lost and won. Of course, buying huge Credits for $100 is there, also. I’m not to keen on this type of business model, but it is a compromise between player and making at least some money.

The business model: pay for a slight permanent upgrade (10% research boost plus little goodies), which is very similar to their other game Hades’ Star, but now pay a little more and you get a little more (20%).
